• Equal Buying For All --EquaBuy is a horizontal group procurement organization (GPO), also known as a buying consortium. EquaBuy consolidates the buying power of its clients to achieve volume-based discounts on indirect goods and services.How It WorksEquaBuy is funded through rebates from selected suppliers and does not charge a fee to its members, nor does it requirea minimum purchase amount. For the purpose of negotiating discounts, EquaBuy will ask each member to estimate theirannual spending for each category. Members are designated by tiers: Tier 1 members have the highest purchasing volume, those in Tier 2 have mid-level volume, and Tier 3, the lowest volume. Tiers 1 and 2 may be eligible for a rebate directly from EquaBuy* and Tier 1 will have input in selecting suppliers during RFPs. Because of their higher purchasing volume, members in these two top tiers have a higher hard dollar savings while the lower volume, Tier 3 purchasers, would see a higher percentage of savings.Areas of FocusEquaBuy focuses its efforts on key areas, which include, but are not limited to: Advertising and marketing Employee and volunteer recognition Employee background screening Payroll services Contract laborEquaBuy Procurement Consulting Services are also available either on an hourly basis or a fee based on percentage ofsavings captured with specific expertise in services purchased and indirect expense reduction.
