• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, New Frontier Foods Inc. was founded in 2011 by four dads on a mission to leverage the science of superfoods to make ordinary foods delicious and healthy. In 2015, the company launched a new product, The Seaweed Snack, in easily consumable sheets. Made from only sustainably grown, organic seaweed and gluten-free ingredients, Ocean's Halo Seaweed Snacks are baked, taste great, and packed with protein and loads of Vitamin B12 & Iodine. Ocean's Halo has none of the bad stuff like GMOs, trans fats, MSG, or artificial anything. In addition to being USDA-certified organic, they are certified non-GMO and Vegan. They also are made with healthier oils and offer lower sodium count than most other seaweed snacks.As of 2015, New Frontier Foods distributes Ocean's Halo brand and private label seaweed snacks globally.In 2016 we announced our newest innovation with Ocean's Halo Almond Strips and Coconut Strips, two unique new snacks loaded with sliced almonds or coconut flakes in between two crispy, roasted seaweed strips.
