• ForGood works closely with social sector organizations to understand the challenges that slow them down and prevent them from reaching their goals. Understanding these challenges provides us with a unique perspective and ability to create technology tools that free nonprofit organizations from current constraints. Through our work, we have learned that social sector organizations in particular face major challenges when it comes to streamlining the flow of capital from stakeholders, ensuring that programs are efficient and effective, and measuring and reporting on the impact of programs and projects. These three major issues may at first appear separate and distinct, but they are all directly impacted by data - how it is collected, reported, and acted upon. With data at the core of our work, we envision a world where performance information is as useful for donors as it is for organizations or institutional funders; where the interaction between nonprofits and consumers is frequent and strong relationships are built on trust and transparency; where the exchange of information is not tedious or boring; and where stakeholders can see up close how their donations convert into real impact. Its a pretty big undertaking, and its one we are dedicated to making a reality. ForGoods tools resolve sources of friction so organizations can create more effective programs. We do this by focusing on standardization, technology infrastructure, supply and demand of information, and agility.
