- Based in Louisiana, Al Copeland Investments, LLC. was founded by the late Al Copeland,Sr.,the renowned restaurateur who founded Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken in 1972. Al Copeland Investments is now operated by Al Copeland Jr. and includes a wide variety of concepts including restaurants, hotels, and a food manufacturing division. The hotel division(Nola Hotels) consists of 3 locations in New Orleans and the food manufacturing division(Diversified Foods,Inc) has locations in Louisiana, Alabama and Nebraska. Today, the restaurant division continues to expand and currently consists of 6 concepts that include 24 locations spread throughout the United States southern region. The restaurants range from full service to fast casual, but unified by the family's tradition to serve an authentic,hometown New Orleans taste and ambiance to guests who enjoy truly exceptional food and hospitality.
