• Since our founding in 1987, we have completed 134 homes, and are now building single family homes and townhomes in the Sierra Valley neighborhood of Loveland. By focusing our efforts on a single neighborhood, we maximize the effectiveness of our all-volunteer construction crew, and create a stronger sense of community among our homeowner partners. Loveland Habitat also operates a unique retail outlet, The ReStore, which sells gently used items like clothing, furniture and household goods. Currently, the ReStore provides nearly 50% of Loveland Habitat's annual income, which covers its administrative expenses.We are now building homes in the subdivision of Sierra Valley. We are scheduled to build 65 homes and provide housing for 190 residents. Building plans include 15 single family homes, five duplexes and ten 4-plex townhomes. Based on current costs for Loveland Habitat construction, the average investment is $125,000 to $175,000 per home, depending on the size of the home, the number of rooms and floors. Where does our funding come from? Today the majority of our building is supported through individuals, businesses, the faith community and the Loveland Habitat ReStore, in the form of:-Donations (monetary and donations of goods & services)-Volunteers-Grants and FoundationsWhile our core mission of building decent, affordable housing has not changed since our founding, it is much more than that. Habitat for Humanity works to eliminate barriers to a better, healthier, and more financially stable life.
