• AUM works with consumers, corporations, local and federal government offices, institutions, interior designers, and art consultants. Although the industry uses the term custom framing, I'd say semi-custom framing is more accurate. True custom framing begins with raw wood stock, milling, planning, shaping and joining it to the desired profile and depth and then applying a custom finish. Almost all framers purchase pre-finished moulding as the starting point and AUM is no different. Our differentiator is our craftsmanship and design and production capabilities - we've mastered the craft of showcasing any type of art without overwhelming it using old-world craftsmanship.AUM is the semi-custom arm of Capitol Hill Custom Framing. We also have a custom arm, Dry Creek Gold Leaf Frame Makers, where we create frames from raw wood stock (and steel) and then paint, stain, gild, carve, or custom finish them. Dry Creek's customers tend to be high-end collectors and museums. AUM and Dry Creek share the studio and workshop space at the Colfax Ave. location. The design possibilities at AUM are virtually limitless, as we have the largest and most varied selection of mouldings in the area. We're also well versed in conservation framing practices. We see ourselves as problem solvers not just framers. Over the years our highly experienced staff have framed anything that can be framed or hung on wall.In addition to custom framing your art, textiles, memorabilia, and photographs, we also stock prints, source art works, and print your digital images on a variety of media through one of our partners. Our custom mirrors are another option. Our framers have designed and built mirrors that have become striking centerpieces of the rooms they adorn. We have a high volume production capability - we have produced hundreds of frames in a few weeks for corporate, hospitality, and healthcare clients both direct and in partnership with designers/art consultants.
