- Independence Assistance - 2 words that define our mission We are dedicated to helping individuals and families. Our services range from Care Assistance, housekeeping, kitchen duties (cleaning, meal planning and preparation), house checks, home maintenance scheduling, basement/attic/closet organization, nutrition assistance, medication reminders, bathroom & bathing assistance, respite care, and so much more. Support for an individual on their own, recovering from an accident or surgery, helping a family member, dealing with an illness in the family are only a few of the situations we have helped people handle. We carefully select only the best employees who have the caring, desire, training and commitment to help our clients. We screen our employees with background checks, drug screening, and training. To ensure the protection of clients, we are fully insured and bonded. We also lead the area in wages for care assistant work. The roots of Independence Assistance Services of the BlueGrass, LLC (IASBG) go back over two decades to when we started finding home assistants & health care aides to assist our parents and grandparents suffering from severe heart disease, Alzheimers disease, Parkinsonism, Dementia, and Lupus. Caring for our loved ones was an overwhelming task. As a family, we came together to support and aide the ones who took care and raised us. We wanted to keep them at home and out of retirement/assisted care/nursing home facilities. Through it all, compassion and respect were combined with the best care possible to the end stages of their lives. Our care assistants and housekeepers helped us have an essence of independence and calm in otherwise very trying times. We have gradually expanded to provide for the same needs in the community; with the same goals and values: loving, compassionate care at home for those who need assistance at reasonable prices for families to afford. We want to help others stay independent at home as long as possible.
