• //Who we are We are Insurance Whisperer, a subadvisor for professional advisors. //What we do We help professional advisors with their clients needs and questions on insurance matters for families and business owners. Registered Investment Advisors, Financial and Fee-Only Planners, attorneys, and tax professionals give advice to their clients on a variety of matters. On occasion, their clients have questions about insurances; life, long term care, and disability. It could be: a review of an existing policy a question if they own too much or too little a review of their parents or childrens needs exploring insurance for estate planning or business succession and continuity The challenge is, these advisors and many of their clients find it a challenge to find an agent or broker they can trust; someone who is not conflicted with high commissions or sales quotas. They are concerned with the chance that the product being pitches is filled with gotchas, or that they are steered into products with high commissions and substandard benefits. The principals at Insurance Whisperer have been in this position, responsible for helping their clients navigate the same landmines. Collectively, they hold over a dozen different licenses and designations. Insurance Whisperer advisers are educators first, and have taught the Insurance section of the UC Berkeley Extension Personal Financial Planning. Several hundreds of students have spent 30 hours each in this class in preparation for qualifying for the Certified Financial Planner designation. The principals have had success in their previous careers, and view this service as a way to partner with professionals they enjoy, and make the insurance review and selection process as simple, honest, and respectable. We take the polyester out of insurance experience.
