- Dells Maraschino Cherries was founded by Arthur Mondella, Sr. and his son Ralph Mondella in 1948 in a small 1,500 square foot store front in Brooklyn, New York. Today, still family owned and operated, Dells Maraschino Cherries grew and expanded under the leadership of Ralphs son, Arthur Mondella. Under Arthurs direction, Dells Maraschino Cherries become one of the largest processors of maraschino cherries in the country. Building upon Arthurs success, Dells Maraschino Cherries is now a Women Owned Business under the leadership of his daughters Dominique Mondella and Dana Mondella Bentz. Inspired by four generations of family ownership, Dells Maraschino Cherries is still guided by the same family values, traditions and their passion for cherries that started over six decades ago. As a leading cherry processor, we invest our time, money and efforts to provide our customers with premium, sustainable and trustworthy maraschino cherries. Dells Maraschino Cherries 38,000 square foot manufacturing facility is the most advanced in the industry and is automated by our own designed software to meet todays manufacturing regulatory demands, quality control and product traceability to ensure years of future growth. Dells Maraschino Cherries continues to earn its reputation for delivering the finest and best tasting maraschino cherries sourced from selected farms around the world. Dells Maraschino Cherries takes great pride in implementing its green initiatives like our own cogeneration facility that generates heat and electricity which is much friendlier to our environment.
