• Serving North Florida since 1979 and licensed as a not-for-profit hospice since 1980, Haven Hospice has been honored and privileged to care for more than 45,000 patients and families. The organization is home to offices in Chiefland, DeLand, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Lake City, Palatka and St. Augustine, covering 18 counties and more than 13,000 square miles. Haven Hospice pioneered freestanding hospice care centers throughout the North Florida region. Our inpatient care centers in Chiefland, Gainesville, Lake City and Palatka are conveniently located to serve patients and families throughout our service area. In addition to expanding care to those who need it, Haven Hospice is nationally recognized for excellence and innovation in the care we provide, which includes grief support services for all ages, our Haven Transitions program for those who are not ready for hospice care, palliative care and palliative massage. Haven is also recognized for our expertise in providing and improving access to hospice care in rural communities. Havens patient care teams are specially trained in managing symptoms, controlling pain, and caring for the psychological, social, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and their loved ones. Each team works with the individual, family and the patients primary physician to establish the plan of care.All of Havens employees, from our health care professionals to those who support our patient care teams, are committed to making Haven the Hospice of Choice.
