- Carpe Diem West , a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization guides a collective impact network of diverse leaders working to address the effects of climate change and create water security solutions for people and the environment of the American West.Carpe Diem West programs support network partners engaged in the work of accelerating pathways for no regrets, sustainable actions to protect water resources in the time of climate change.We started Carpe Diem West because we saw the collision coming between the realities ofclimate change and the old ways weve managed and used our water. Entrenched interests,outdated laws and bureaucracies, shrinking budgets, a growing population, new water intensiveenergy production, and damaged ecosystems combine to make smart, science-basedchange an enormous challenge.
