At Studio Ones - Summerlin Dance Academy, students of all ages will gain a firm foundation and excellent dance instruction in a variety of styles of dance, from the very beginner Twosies classes (2 year olds) to the combo classes (3 6 year olds) and all the way up to 18 year olds. This dance school has been ranked the #1 dance studio in Nevada, #1 in the Southwest Region, and is in the top 10 in the U.S. (per the Federation of Dance Competitions). The dance instruction offered here include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, acrobatics, jumps and turns, musical theater, and acting and are for beginning students to advanced and competitive levels. Their competition team, Innovation Dance Company, competes many times each year and has been recognized internationally for their success. Children can learn the basics of ballet and tap in the combo classes, which are offered for children ages 3 6. Some of the specialty classes they offer include Irish step, break dancing, and strength and conditioning. The instructors are all well seasoned and trained as performers and dance teachers, and students may start learning once they reach the age of two. There are three studios located in Summerlin, Southwest, and Henderson. The family-friendly atmosphere makes it a pleasure for all. Most of the dance studios have viewing windows to watch your child in action, plus a flat-screen TV that broadcasts video from each room. The emphasis at Studio One is on health and safety to prevent the spread of germs using Green Cleaning techniques, free of harsh chemicals and toxins.
