• Dentrust was founded by Dr. Lawrence Caplin, DMD CCHP, in 1990 to provide on-location dental services for correctional facilities and juvenile detention centers. Since then, Dentrust has evolved into Dentrust Optimized Care Solutions (DOCS), which offers expanded services including dental care for Active Duty Military soldiers, as well as comprehensive medical and dental services for soldiers in the Army National Guard around the country. In addition, DOCS established the Oral Health Impact Project (OHIP), which provides comprehensive dental care and oral health education for underserved children in school districts across multiple states.
