• Dalexy Academy (DA) is an IB-MYP charter school providing a student-centered community focused educational experiences for students in grades 6-8. We are working to create the best educational experiences for children and their families and recognize that building lasting relationships with families and the community is fundamental to the success of Dalexy Academy. Students study the arts, athletics, humanities, Spanish, math, sports, and science, and participate in service-learning to help better their communities. Students work in cooperative groups; engage in project-based learning, independent work, and field experiences to further their understanding of course content. Our goal is for students to take responsibility for their own learning, approach unfamiliar situations with courage, and understand their strengths and weaknesses. Education is key to a better future for students and their communities. Therefore, we seek to create a learning environment where children can follow their passion and see the importance of education as a vehicle for their success. The mission of Dalexy Academy is to create rigorous academic programs for a diverse group of students, which will enable them to become visionaries, innovators, and creators in their communities.
