- The First Tee was established in 1997 and has introduced golf and its values to over 4.5 million participants worldwide. Our mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.In 1995,The First Tee of Delaware began as the Urban Youth Golf Program Association with 175 children in the City of Wilmington. In 2012 the program saw over 8,000 children statewide.What We Offer:Safe, Positive and Fun Learning Environment with Healthy Habits and Life Skills Education.All children are welcome from Pre -Kindergarten to High School Senior.Caring, Dedicated and Experienced Coaches.Diverse and Family Friendly Atmosphere.Scholarship and Leadership Information (Local, Regional and National)A/B Honor Roll Recognition and Mentoring Programs.Practice, Play, Character Building and Self-Esteem Opportunities.Rewarding Volunteer and Networking Experiences.
