Bodies Mind® Academy

Description

• Carole Amend began training apprentices in the pilates method in 1995 as well as teaching workshops to teachers in AZ, NY, PA, and CA through AIM Academy for Somatic Integration. As of September, 2015, AASI is a project of Bodies Mind®. 2011-12 marked the reorganization and re-launch of the professional education program and its expanded curriculum. It was renamed Bodies Mind® Academy in 2015, upon presenting the premiere Pilates by AIM Curriculum in Los Angeles, CA. Our unique tutor program draws on studies in dance, pilates, somatics, body-mind movement research, phenomenology, and more. It is structured to preserve and enhance its roots: the apprenticeship model of learning and the boutique business model for pilates and somatic movement education. It offers distinctive, original information that validates and supports the movement teacher's process towards greater confidence, creativity, integrity, and expertise, while also assisting teachers in drawing a wide variety of clientele and developing cooperative networks. The Curriculum is open to professionals and enthusiasts of all movement disciplines. The Amend Integrative Model (AIM) is a new model for movement analysis and client-teacher communication, which originated at Bodies Mind® Studio.
