Our first priority is replacing polystyrene trays with compostable alternatives. :We integrate food waste composting as a financially viable option to offset additional costs associated with compostable trays. Often recycling, both current and new, programs are integrated into our efforts. Polystyrene is a health issue for children, an environmental issue for our land, and composting is an economic issue for the development and growth of food composting sites across North Carolina.
