- Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas is a 501(c)3 animal rescue whose mission is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. HAVLV aims to reduce the number of animals entering the shelter system by promoting owner retention with programs that provide pet food, veterinary care, and training assistance. We recently opened our first adoption center and pet supply store. The store will serve as a source of self-sustaining income, while the adoption center provides a place for cats to live until they are adopted, and dogs to come during the day to meet potential adopters. As we are a non-profit, all purchases are sales tax free We also have a residential treatment foster program for dogs and cats run by a domestic abuse survivor, and do Humane Education for youth groups throughout Las Vegas. We are an entirely volunteer organization, supported by donations from the community. Over the last year, we have saved more than 87 pets from a terrible fate.
