• ApproachISA believes in the power of Sport for Development. By this, we mean the long-term, scientifically supported use of sports as a tool for development. Our particular aim is to enable youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to create a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. VisionISA envisions a world in which once marginalized young people have become agents of change. By participating in Sport for Development activities, they have learned to shape their own future, have strengthened their confidence, have become active citizens and have committed themselves to building up their communities. They have moved away from the vicious cycle of poverty, violence and inequality that has kept them and their families on the margin of society. Local partnersIn our partner countries, we work together with local governments, educational and sports institutes, embassies, (I)NGOs and grassroots organizations. Particularly the latter play a crucial role in empowering young people through sports. Of all organizations, they are closest to the local communities, know best which approaches work and have a direct connection with young people.
