• Our mission is to assist the needs of homeless female veterans by providing advocacy services and programs to improve their quality of life. We empower, restore hope, reduce recidivism and bring unification to families. The number of homeless female veterans more than doubled from 2006 to 2010, and they will remain at risk of abuse and lack of shelter without better services. It's estimated that the ranks of homeless female veterans had risen more than 140 percent since 2006. For the sacrifices they and their families have made, this is an unacceptable state for any of them to be in. The challenges facing our veterans are mounting. However, many more community-based service providers and workers remain overwhelmed due to a severe lack of tangible resources. Genesis Joy House (GJH) is creating a pioneering solution to help our female veterans overcome two of the greatest challenges associated with homelessness and incarceration. Through providing residential housing and uplifting programs, GJH will be poised to noticeably impact homelessness and incarceration among our female veterans in America. GJH and Daughters I Believe in You (D.I.B.I.Y.) are partnering to unearth and empower communities by providing mentorship and empowerment programs for teen women in the Middle Georgia area. DIBIY will serve a diverse group of young women, ages 18-25, and GJH will support our homeless veteran women through D.I.B.I.Y. programs.
