- A major problem in medicine today is that we still dont know how to develop the right therapies for cancer, but the good news is that Celldom can help. Most cancer patients die because their tumors contain drug-resistant cells, which though initially present at small fractions, become enriched during treatment to yield incurable tumors. Celldom, Inc., was formed to solve this problem by developing a platform to phenotype and genotype tens of thousands of single cells in parallel. Celldoms signature product will consist of an analyzer and proprietary microfluidic chips that can efficiently organize massive single cell arrays, challenge cells with different drugs, prepare barcoded single cell transcriptome libraries, followed by sequencing of the drug-resistant phenotypes.
