• Rock LIVE has served more than 1.4 million students with empirically-based research and best practices. These include in-school educational workshops that provide educational messaging, social dramas, and interaction among young students, their teachers, and trained high school mentors. Education materials include classroom follow-up guides with up to 40 classroom follow-up activities to help students retain the skills taught. A family follow-up guide and CDs for families reinforce the positive messaging and empowerment tools. The family follow-up guide and CD provide the opportunity for parents and students to have meaningful conversations regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and the tools to begin vital conversations about: anger control, drug awareness, media influences, making good choices, responsibility, empathy, problem-solving, and stress management. Written evaluations are completed by high school mentors, teachers, and for the participating younger students. Specialty programs can be designed with contracting groups. Mission: Rock In Prevention (Rock) uses music and the arts to reach the hearts and minds of children to help them learn the skills to live alcohol, tobacco and drug free and prevent bullying. Rock effectively teaches children health and wellness, personal and social skills, character education and increases parental involvement and mentoring to help children improve academic achievement and live to their fullest potential.
