    • Louisiana Tax Free Shopping is a tourism incentive program. We offer international visitors to Louisiana a Tax Refund on shopping done within the state of Louisiana. Louisiana is the first state in the nation to offer this service to internationals. We are a state agency under the Louisiana Department of Revenue. This program began in 1989 with only one redemption center located in the New Orleans International airport. We are now servicing visitors at five different locations throughout Louisiana and a sixth one coming in summer of 2011.
