• DIY (Do It Yourself) Hacking is a non-profit organization which aspires to turn India into a Maker Nation. It will bolster the growth of native manufacturing companies and is a strong believer of the Make in India campaign. India will see a rapid number of startup companies in this field and will have itself placed as one of the premier countries, reaping the fruits of the next industrial revolution. Being a proponent of the Maker culture, we have already conducted Maker workshops and other activities at more than 30 colleges around the country. We have also partnered in a program with the Kerala Govt to impart these skills to school students in the state by giving away Raspberry Pi computers. And we have a strong online learning platform with tutorials and open source projects at: DIYhacking.com. Moreover, we are trying to propagate the Maker culture through the following ways: 1.Impart Maker/Coder skills to people & students in our country. 2.Setup Maker labs throughout the country within colleges and outside. 3.Have Maker education as a part of the academic syllabi in schools & colleges. 4.Mentor and bolster the growth of startup companies in this space. DIY Hacking will partner with colleges to create programs based on Maker activities which will be used as a guide to help them become Makers.
