• Our mission is to provide free basic primary health care to the uninsured. We deliver that health care through operation of a mobile care vehicle that have a fixed schedule at various locations in the City of Hartford. Coupled with coordinated communication efforts at the parishes/churches, schools and homeless shelters, assures community outreach and ready access to those most in need. A small clinic staff supported by a cadre of medical volunteers provide administrative support for the free clinic. Volunteers are drawn from the active and retired staff of Saint Francis Medical Center, Hartford Hospital, UCONN Health Care Center, other health care facilities and health professionals in the area. The care offered is strictly primary care, with appropriate emphasis on untreated conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and other conditions acknowledged as prevalent in this area. Routine medications, donated and low cost purchases, are provided free of charge to patients. Patients requiring tertiary care and emergency care will be referred to other facilities and physicians.
