• Who Are We? Welcome to the WhoWhatWhy team. If youve made it to this point, you likely already know much about our values and style but probably not all. So heres a quick primer. WhoWhatWhy stands apart for its model of journalism. We are an idealistic nonprofit, staffed primarily by volunteers, that helps empower the public by providing it with an understanding of the world not typically available from the corporate, conventional media. Starting with an open mind, we pursue deeper investigation and more rigorous analysis. Our original journalism is rooted in creative thinking, and a healthy insistence that claims of powerful institutions, both government and private, must be verified. We help foster a constructive dialogue and consensus by delivering trustworthy information that is not driven by an agenda or by favoritism to any party or faction. We are small, but our reputation and impact are growing fast. So is our team we currently have more than 100 volunteers, spread throughout the United States and in an increasing number of international locations. Work Culture Our work culture revolves around inviting in a mix of thoughtful, capable self-starters young and old, the inexperienced and the veteran, all drawing inspiration from one another. It is an ideal environment for motivated, energetic individuals looking to have an impact, to collaborate with others of the same mind, and to learn new skills and constantly improve. Most work is completed, or can be completed, remotely, and on ones own schedule, allowing self-directed individuals to work from their homes and at times that are convenient.
