• Techonomys name embodies our beliefs and our missionit combines the words technology and economy because technology is a central part of the economy in which we operate and the society in which we live. Yet too many leaders either still don't understand that or don't act aggressively enough. We see technology as inextricably entwined with just about every activity that humans undertake, and seek as a company to help the world, and especially business leaders, take advantage of it. Our annual flagship Techonomy helps leaders understand the transformations underway in business and society. Our first Techonomy NYC is May 26, 2016 and Techonomy 2016 is Nov. 9-11 at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, California. (Request invitations to either at Techonomy.com.) We also host other public and private events throughout the year, and publish editorial content at www.techonomy.com. Our theme for this year is Man, Machines, and the Network, with a heavy focus on the impact of the Internet of Things.We hold that all leaders must, in effect, become technologists. Only then can we and they effectively guide our organizations, companies, and communities towards long-term health and impact.Techonomy casts its lens broadly across business and society. We care about the future of food and nutrition, healthcare, education, government, science, the arts, transportation, cities, infrastructure, communication, media, architecture, and indeed any sphere of human endeavor. We seek conversation at the highest level about the role of technology in social progress. We convene communities by hosting conferences, publishing articles and videos, working with partners in a myriad of ways, and advocating for greater understanding about the pace of change and what it means.
