• The dynamic, hands-on duo of Mike & Sheila Bruegge brought the Ashley Furniture HomeStore concept to Champaign, Illinois, in 2006, and the couple hasn't looked back since. Driven to help Central Illinois residents create their dream homes, Mike & Sheila opened a second Peoria location in 2009 and not much later came the Bloomington HomeStore in 2013. A centrally located distribution center also opened in Normal, Illinois, in 2011 to ensure efficient delivery to our customers. Together, these four entities comprise Ashley Furniture HomeStores (AFHS) of Central Illinois, which are locally owned and operated by Mike & Sheilas Bruegge & Co. AFHS of Central Illinois proudly employs a diverse yet united group of 75 employees in the following categories: management, sales, human resources, customer service, office, warehouse, assembly, furniture repair and janitorial.
