• Via 313 Pizza was opened in a little black trailer in East Austin in December 2011 to critical acclaim after living in Austin for a few years and not being able to find the kind of pizza we missed from back home in Detroit. We are proud to make genuine Detroit Style Pizza and we take the process, from the sourcing of all ingredients to the preparation of the dough, to the way it is specifically topped very seriously. After all it's our life and what we are here on earth to do. After operating our originally 6th St location for 1 year we opened a 2nd trailer in late 2012. We realized our dream of opening the Via 313 restaurant in April of 2015 in the Oak Hill neighborhood of South Austin. It's the old school neighborhood pizzeria/pub feel that we used to frequent in Detroit as children. The kind of place where people of all ages gather because it's comfortable, friendly and inviting. We'll serve old school pizza in a full service dine in setting with a full bar, craft beers, and select wines.So whats with our name? Via 313. Via means 'by way of' and 313 is the original area code of my beloved home city of Detroit.Together brothers Zane and Brandon Hunt have a combined 25 years experience in the independent pizza, restaurant, bar, and customer service fields. They have also been ordering pizzas on the phone as soon as they could remember the digits to dial on the phone.Drop by and say hello....we'll nerd out over pizza together.
