Our President and CEO, Liza Myers Borches, is the fourth generation of her family in the automotive industry. Her great grandfather, Carter Myers, opened his first dealership in Petersburg, VA in 1924. Her grandfather, Carter Myers, Jr., kept the business going throughout the Great Depression and World War II. And her father, Carter Myers III is still operating as the company's Executive Chairman. Liza purchased Volvo of Charlottesville from Herb Brown in 2004. Since then her dedication to her employees and her community has earned both Liza and the dealership numerous awards. In 2011, Liza was awarded with the international Athena Award for excellence in her profession and commitment to bettering her community. Under her leadership, Carter Myers Automotive was awarded the 2013 Hovey Dabney Corporate Citizenship Award by the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.Volvo of Charlottesville is dedicated to customer satisfaction.
