• REBOOT Combat Recovery seeks to make a lasting difference in the lives of service members and their families. We are a non-profit, not a charity, who gives a hand up not a hand out to military members as they emerge from the darkness of their pain.Our goal is not just to treat the problem but to see the person transformed. In order to do this, we must heal the mind, body and soul. Our faith-based trauma healing model helps service members and their families heal from the spiritual wounds of war and go on to rebuild character, community and leadership.Our History: Founded in 2011 by Occupational Therapist, Dr. Jenny Owens, REBOOT began serving military families at Fort Campbell, KY. Built on the belief that the spirit of a person is worth fighting for, the success rate of the 12-week combat trauma healing course quickly began to spread within the military communityOur Model: After completing our 12-week combat trauma healing course, graduates advance to focus on rebuilding strong character, engaging in healthy community and reclaiming leadership roles. REBOOT upholds the teach a man to fish ideal and equips our members to move past REBOOT and live an abundant life. In other words, we know weve been successful when our graduates dont need us anymore.Our Vision: REBOOT is changing the way trauma is treated in our military communities. Our approach offers a much needed alternative to traditional mental health treatment opportunities. Armed with data to prove our effectiveness, we are well on our way to reshaping the traditional care model to include not just the mind and body, but the soul as well.Today our combat recovery groups are meeting in 8 locations across 4 states.
