    Description

    • Singapore Myanmar Investco and Golden Infrastructure Group have formed a joint-venture called Myanmar Infrastructure Group (MIG) to capitalize on the opportunities arising in the tower infrastructure market in Myanmar. MIGs aim is to become a leading owner and operator of telecommunication infrastructure, including towers, rooftop sites and in-building wireless networks. MIGs strategy is to provide services to telecom operators, tower companies, service providers, equipment companies, and telecom service users As a major step towards achieving business goals, MIG has entered into a construction and lease agreement with mobile network operator Ooredoo Myanmar Limited, to construct 503 telecommunication towers across Myanmar. This agreement is effective since July 2015, and has an implied value, based on the cost of construction, of USD 39 million over 18 months.
