• What would you do if you lost your dog? You would want his microchip scanned correct? One third of all dogs and cats are reported missing in their lifetime and although the far majority have microchips implanted in them, nearly 80 percent of them are never found. They remain stolen or put in animal shelters, where millions are killed in the U.S. every year- most off which had microchips. While microchips are the standard for tracking lost dogs and cats, no universal scanner to date - can read the range of microchips encountered by veterinarians and shelters when they receive lost pets. We have spent the past year and a half developing the only pet tracking system that pet owners, veterinarians, and shelters will ever need. In collaboration with 2 separate teams of PhD's within the Graduate Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science at the University at Buffalo, we have developed a universal radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader, and a cloud-based database system that reads and stores important identification and medical information for pets. It is the first and only to record, analyze and catalog a pets microchip, regardless of the manufacturer. Each scan sifts through a complicated range of data and code formatting to identify the information matching each chipped cat or dog. Data is consolidated into a cloud-based Content Management System (CMS) server that acts as the central authority between any authorized user and pets data. This streamlines efficiency by connecting pet service providers and shelters with critical identity and medical pet information, while sending owners instant, real-time mobile notifications. Simply put, it is the only standardized scanning solution for pet owners and medical experts across the U.S., Canada and European Union. We have complete IP ownership over all patents pending or granted under exclusive license.
