• Locus Bio-Energy Solutions, LLC has developed cost-competitive, biodegradable, patent pending microbe-based solutions that offer customized treatments optimized specifically for each clients conditions for enhanced oil recovery, viscosity reduction, paraffinic wax and asphaltene dispersal including the cleaning of rods, pipelines and flow lines, casings and solidified storage tank bottoms.The efficacy of traditional microbial treatments has been marginal at best, as most bacterial cultures die during shipment. We solved that problem by developing a patented mobile fermentation system that can rapidly grow cultures on-site. This ensures maximum potency of the cultures. Combined with our scientists deep knowledge of microbial applications, we rapidly grow customized cultures on-site that can effectively deal with a wide variety of issues.Our fermentation systems are extremely low capex and modular allowing for rapid scaling so much so that we can be up and running at an industrial site in a matter of weeks.By being price competitive with traditional treatments, we provide the additional advantages of reduced down-times, less human involvement in hazardous environments, and being environmentally clean. The microbes are naturally occurring, non-toxic, will not harm soil, equipment or surroundings, and do not create sludge! Our scientists are globally recognized as being the best in the fields of microbiology and fermentation systems, with hundreds of patents, and successful industrial and government engagements under their belt.Our wellbore paraffin dispersal application was successfully commercialized in the Appalachian basin at the end of Q1 2017, with rapid industry acceptance and steep growth in demand. Since then, we have finished field validation of our well stimulation and H2S control products. We will be entering the Permian basin with these solutions in Q3 2017 piloting for clients who have already committed to partnering with us.We also have an extensive portfolio of very disruptive applications on the downstream side of the industry (such as upgrading heavy crude, liquefying pet-coke and upgrading it, etc.).
