• Strategic Development Solutions (SDS) develops innovative market-driven approaches to economic development and has built and capitalized more than $2 billion of Double and Triple Bottom Line private-equity funds with its affiliated partner Economic Innovation International, Inc. The three bottom lines of these funds are: (1) market rates of return, (2) positive community/social impacts, and (3) environmental sustainability. The two firms also jointly manage the $312 million National New Markets Fund (NNMF), LLC, an allocation of federal tax credits for real estate projects in low-income communities. NNMF has invested in more than 20 projects around the country and has been awarded 7 national awards for the high impacts of its investments. SDS provides all day-to-day operations of the fund, including originations, closing transactions, asset management, loan servicing, accounting and reporting. SDS has expanded on these activities to provide the SDS Advantage Platform to other CDFIs, lenders and investment programs that seek to outsource their back office needs such as the loan servicing, accounting, compliance and reporting. SDS provides these services for more than $500 million of current investments. SDS has also developed an extensive impact report that measures the economic, social/community, fiscal and environmental impacts of investments. Given its depth of analysis, this impact report is used by CDFIs, NMTC Allocatees, Investment Funds and investors around the country.
