We creatively leverage an extensive volunteer force and neighborhood collaborations to provide out-of-school programs, tutoring, sports, computer and literacy classes, and job readiness training at low or no cost.SJS partners with community and faith-based facilities for a school-by-day, program-site-by-night model. This reduces costs, allowing your donations to go directly to programming.Our warm and welcoming atmosphere encourages students and volunteers to discover their individual gifts and connect in a way that feels like family. We take special care in cultivating engaged volunteers and program staff from the neighborhoods we serve, becoming positive role models for their family, friends, and neighbors while building programs from within the community.
