• Who is ALCS?While the enormity of the problem is overwhelming, at ALCS we believe change is possible. We think this change must start with the children. No child should ever have to be so alone, and so hungry, as to have to beg for food from the hands of strangers! Every effort should be made to ensure that children are in situations where they can grow with dignity and the basic necessities for human life. Difficult economic circumstances in the U.S. do not remove our responsibility as world citizens to help those in need. Instead, we are called to make sure our dollars are truly used to make a difference.Absolutelove for Children's Services, (ALCS) is an IRS designated 501(c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit humanitarian agency with the following goal:Provide direct support to orphanages, children and families affected by drought, HIV/AIDS, poverty, conflict, etc. throughout Africa. Our mission is To help children blossom, and to build, strengthen and sustain individual, family and community life.According to UNICEF Orphan estimate December 2009, there are over 163 million children remain abandoned, orphaned, or in need of immediate support all over the world. About 115.4 million of these are children in Africa. Both natural and manmade calamities have caused this situation and are seen to be gaining momentum at a frightening speed.
