- Auto World Museum features the late William E Backer's vintage automobile collection and reflects his and his daughter's, Vicki Backer McDaniel's, vision. Ms. McDaniel is President of the Foundation. A home grown engineer, Bill was a highly successful local manufacturer, businessman, and automobile collector. Bill spent his life collecting the amazing cars he loved. He entrusted this remarkable collection to the Foundation to insure these automotive treasurers are preserved and available for all to see. Located in historic Fulton, the heart of Callaway County, Missouri and situated just five miles south of the junction of Interstate 70 and U.S. highway 54 at the highway HH exit, Auto World is an 18,000 square foot facility which houses the collection. In a addition to vintage cars, Auto World contains exhibits, collections of memorabilia and attractions depicting the history surrounding the automobile in Missouri. There is something of interest for everyone at Auto World Museum.
