The mission of the Foundation and the High School is to ensure that students have access to an excellent educational program designed to promote success in college and in the hospitality industry. Each year all of our students are exposed to the hospitality industry not only through course work, but through hands-on industry exposure. The students complete job shadowing, have guest speakers from across the hospitality industry, complete soft skills training and have both paid and unpaid internship opportunities, as well as compete for summer jobs in local hotels. The school is a DC public charter school and is primarily funded through the Federal and State government, but is supplemented by grants from hotel companies and foundations. Local hospitality industry partners provide over 5,000 hours of direct service to Hospitality High School on an annual basis.HHS is Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Secondary Schools.
