• Architects For Learning is dedicated to promoting 21st century literacy skills through the development of innovative approaches to teaching and learning. We offer a variety of professional learning programs for school districts, schools, instructional leaders, and teachers who wish to develop their instructional practices with literacy. Our teacher training programs in EmPOWER (a research-based instructional method for teaching expository writing across the curriculum) and Brain Frames (graphic scaffolds for language, literacy, teaching, and learning) provide a common language and set of strategies that teachers and students can use in all grade levels and all content areas to transform student performance. Working with public and private schools across the country and internationally, Architects For Learning partners with K-12 teachers to provide customized training and mentorship over time. In turn, districts and schools develop the capacity to implement, develop, refine, and sustain instructional strategies and methods that transform student performance and ensure their success in school and in life.
