• Cynthia Brooks Distinctive Catering has been fulfilling the catering needs of discerning people and organizations in the Pasadena and surrounding areas for over 25 years. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, attractively presented delicious food and reliable customer service. Cynthia Brooks Distinctive Catering is incorporated, licensed & fully insured. Cynthia Porter started Cynthia Brooks Distinctive Catering in 1985. As a sole proprietor and with years of hard work the first shop was opened in March of 1991 in the city of Pasadena. As the business continued to grow, a larger building, more staff, office space and vehicles became necessary. In December of 1995 the business moved to a new Pasadena location and has remained here for over 17 years. In 1996 as the business continued to expand, Jay Porter joined the company as Cynthia Brooks Distinctive Catering Kitchen Manager and partner. Both Cynthia and Jay are graduates of the Hotel Restaurant Department at Cal Poly Pomona. With a team of approximately 30 staff members we are committed to maintaining a high level of quality and service seven days a week. We offer a full range of menu items available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The team efforts of the sales staff at Cynthia Brooks Distinctive Catering have worked to develop a large corporate catering clientele. City of Hope, Parsons Engineering, Macys, The City of Pasadena and The Pasadena Tournament of Roses to name a few.
