• San Francisco RBI believes that all children, regardless of circumstance, should be able to read at or above grade level. Strategically aligned with Major League Baseball, San Francisco RBI achieves this goal by working with schools in diverse under-resourced communities and collaborating with a robust network of public and private entities. Together, we implement an innovative data-driven model that integrates reading, baseball, softball, and technology, thereby educating the whole child.San Francisco RBIs innovative and integrated reading, baseball, and softball program is embedded within classrooms during the school day. We provide targeted literacy instruction and support in the classroom. On the athletic field, we create a library without walls, teaching life lessons such as teamwork, resilience, and perseverance. We also help build self-esteem and support wellness within our community.Starting with our founding sponsor, PG&E, San Francisco RBI has strategically aligned with over 50 sponsors and partners to help us meet our goal of developing well-rounded children in grades K-12. Without these individuals, organizations, and companies, San Francisco RBI would not be able to provide Bay Area youth with opportunities to learn and excelboth inside and outside of the classroom.
