- The Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) is committed to the preservation of India's forests and wildlife. We operate in 110 Protected Areas across 17 states. We believe in a 360 degree approach to conservation and work closely with the communities living in and around the forests we work in on education, health and livelihoods. Our efforts in these three arenas are complimented by our protection initiative. We work with the Forest Department to ensure they have the equipment and training they need to carry out their duties.Till date, WCT has trained candidates in 361 villages and works with 110 job providers to help them find gainful employment. Our health camps have benefited 1,80,000 villagers and 15,000 forest staff. Our education programme has reached more than 61,000 students and 1,700 teachers in 461 villages. Under our protection initiative, we have equipped 1,800 Anti-poaching camps across the country, donated more than 4,000 vehicles to forest staff and trained over 4,200 forest staff in wildlife crime prevention.
