• Studio 1Thousand is a lighting design firm, focused on large scale LED installations. Our work focuses on playing with the materiality of light, and the human perception of light's interaction with space. Studio 1Thousand designs scaleable systems which can be deployed as the installation demands. Studio 1Thousand works exclusively in LED. We work with architects, interior designers and private individuals to develop installations including performance halls, museums, hospitality, and private homes. Clients can choose from a series of pre designed technologies, scaleable for their needs, or can request to have technologies developed for their specific projects. In addition to LED, We also work with wood, glass, ceramic, paper, etc. to support the LEDs and create lighting fixtures which are mesmerizing, note worthy, solid state, and extremely low maintenance. Our team is comprised people with a deep design background. We work to produce successful results, which are not always conventional.
