• When MECA first opened in 1983, our goal was to manufacture quality Mechanically Engraved Cylinders in America...hence the name MECA. In 1987, having proven our ability to manufacture engraved rolls, MECA decided to start fabricating precision Print Cylinders. MECA excelled in manufacturing print cylinders and we now specialize in air actuated cylinders for use with flexographic print sleeves, as well as impression and anilox cylinders for presses.In 1989, most converters needed a gear with every print cylinder that they ordered. MECA decided to establish Technology Machine to manufacture these gears. Now MECA has a full machine shop with lathes, hobs, and even a gear grinder and CMM to ensure we make a quality product. We are capable of manufacturing AGMA class 12 gears. This has been able to help us manufacture transmission components and prototypes for customers.Around 2004, MECA expanded and we began manufacturing our own printing sleeves and we opened our own sleeve manufacturing plant. We now offer a bridge sleeve system as well as our printing sleeves that are guaranteed to hold a .001 TIR and our wall thickness can go up to 3.In 2009, we introduced our MECA anilox sleeve bases for ceramic coating. These can either be manufactured with aluminum or carbon fiber. We can manufacture any size sleeve up to 100 These sleeves are designed for maximum press performance.MECA and Technology Machine, Inc. is a one stop shop for all of your flexographic printing needs.
