• Dr, Sargissian has been practicing dentistry for nearly 20 years. He graduated from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 1996. Dr. Sargissian opened his original practice in 2000 and then expanded to his current office in 2006. Since then, his primary goal has been to provide personal care to his patients. In his free time Dr. Sargissian enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, hiking, and playing bass in his local cover band. We are mercury-safe and biocompatible... What does that mean? Many people do not realize their silver amalgam fillings are 50% mercury. Although dental amalgam continues to be a commonly used restorative material, some concern has been raised due to its high mercury content and the potentially adverse effects of mercury vapor on a persons overall health. Dr. Sargissian specializes in amalgam filling removals and replacements. Instead of using silver amalgam for restorations, CEREC CAD/CAM technology allows for same-day crowns and fillings that are made of porcelain composite. This material is mercury free, BIS-GMA free, and BPA free. These tooth-colored composite fillings are highly durable and biocompatible meaning the materials are recognized as safe by your body.
