• Middle Georgia State College has a rich history as a baccalaureate degree granting institution in Middle Georgia. The college is the entity that was created in January 2013 with the consolidation of what was Middle Georgia College, founded in 1884, and Macon State College, which opened in 1968.The new institution's main campus is located in Macon, with satellite campuses in Cochran, Dublin, Eastman and Warner Robins, Georgia. In the fall of 2013 enrollment was about 8,200 students, with residential facilities located in Macon, Cochran and Eastman.The college offers 17 bachelor's degrees, plus a large number of associate degrees and certificates. The college's Eastman Campus is located adjacent to an airport and is known for excellent on-campus or on-line degrees and certificates of interest to individuals seeking to enter or advance in the aviation industry.The college's intercollegiate athletics program is headquartered in Cochran. Sports offered include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, softball and baseball. A club-level football team also operates on the Cochran campus.
