- Achilles Medical was founded in 2004 by two brothers named Mike and Matt. They were helped along by close family members who had been in the sports medicine field for over 20 years with their own company. Achilles Med started out as a small idea that steadily grew into a very nice second source of income. At first, we sold only a few braces a week while learning how to traverse an internet business, and to understand how to get our name out. We slowly learned about search engine placement and paid advertisement, but because everyone else was already set up and making a profit, we needed something special to set us apart. We came up with three main guidelines that helped our company thrive.
