Top Score Education

Description

• Top Score Education is a thriving boutique firm that prepares high school students in the Washington DC area for standardized tests with a focus on the SAT and ACT exams. Top Score Education has helped more than 600 DC area students achieve their standardized testing goals with preparation geared towards the individuals strengths and weaknesses. We use only full time tutors who spend 50+ hours per week mastering their craft and offer unsurpassed personal attention to educate parents on the college application process. We will review the students strengths, weaknesses, past scores, and athletic/extracurricular schedule, and an accommodating schedule. If you need to choose between the SAT and ACT, we may pursue further diagnostic testing. From the first moment you call until the day you drop your student off at college, we will answer all of your questions and provide guidance for the PSAT, SAT/ACT, SAT Subject Tests, AP courses, course selection, college essays, college interviews, college applications, and any other academic inquiries you may have. To help students maximize their potential, we ask them not only to answer questions correctly, but to understand question categories, the trick answers to be avoided, and how they might be tested on the same material in the future. Tricks and shortcuts are nice, but mastery of the exam requires both comprehensive knowledge of the material and heightened awareness of the techniques and when to use them. At Top Score, we generally split the program into a 7-8 lesson block before the first exam and a 4-5 lesson block leading up to the second. Lessons are spaced 7-14 days apart to give time for homework between classes, and practice exams are given once a month on Sundays. Lessons will take place in your home if you are within our travel radius, or at your school or a library if you are not. Our mission is to harness a students natural ability and through hard work not only beat the test, but master it.
