The primary industries served include Automotive, Appliance, General Fabrication & Stamping, Flexible Hose, HVAC and Energy. Our Bellwood Facility is the center of operations for CMC. Each of our facilities in Elgin, Sycamore, and Hampshire are part of Elgiloy Specialty Metals, which is a subsidiary of CMC. Our four facilities employ a high quality and dedicated workforce that specialize in providing a variety of metal quality processing options to fit customers needs.The Bellwood location offers precision slitting, custom buffing with coil to coil and custom wet and dry polishing. Another addition to our equipment and services is our Precision Strip Corrective Leveler and Punch Presses.Our Hampshire location is one of the industrys leading stainless steel re-roll mills, offering tight tolerances and specialized gauge ranges. Anneal furnaces are capable of annealing thickness from .001 (0.025mm) to .060 (1.52mm) and as wide as 50 (1270mm). Elgin operates a world class four-post 20-roll cluster Mill capable of producing the worlds thinnest and widest stainless steel precision strip. The Mill is supported with two bright annealing furnaces capable of producing annealing thicknesses as low as .002 (.005cm) and multiple Slitting units that process a variety of coil widths and weights. A next generation Tension Leveler can ensure flatness measurements as low as one I unit on annealed or full-hard materials. In addition, the Tension Leveler can process coils as large as 900 PIW (16kg/mm) for long production runs.Our Sycamore location manufactures high quality wire, bar, straightened & cut lengths and shaped wire in an extensive range of Nickel and Cobalt based alloys and special stainless steel grades. Flexible custom manufacturing allows us to offer a few pounds to many thousands of pounds with short, reliable lead times.
